Process

The interview process was quicker than most. I received an email from Epic the same day I applied. Many of the steps in the process are up to you to schedule. I only got as far as the phone screening and technical test.

The phone screening is your average phone screening where they want to know more about you. The technical test is the hard part. When they email you about the test, it says that you don't need to study. You should study.

It was split up into 4 parts:

  • The first part is a quick math quiz where you have to answer multiple math questions in a handful of minutes.
  • It's then followed by a section where you are given documentation on a fictional language and they test your understanding of the language.
  • The third section is a math and logic section.
  • Ending the test is 3 easy/medium difficulty LeetCode questions in which there is no autofill, no outside resources, nor ability to run your code.

The technical test took me 4 hours to complete, so make sure you have time set aside to complete it.
