Process
I only got a phone interview for this company. The recruiter asked some questions about my background and an open-ended question. They rejected me the next day.

Interviewed at Epic in Fall 2013.
First, a campus interview, then an on-site interview
Software Engineer • Current Employee
Madison, Wisconsin, United States
November 15, 2013
Pros: Great company. The company buildings are phenomenally designed. The work you do as an intern rolls out with the next line of software.
Cons: It's in Madison, Wisconsin. If you're looking for a large East/West Coast place, this is not it.

Drank the Kool-Aid, epic fail
Software Engineer • Former Employee
Verona, Wisconsin, United States
July 5, 2012
Pros: If you are a good fit, then you will be incredibly happy and successful at Epic. Their training, internal opportunities, and amenities are world-class. They have a geek-friendly (even geek-centric) culture.
Cons: If you aren't a good fit (and many are not), then you will be out in the cold with a stale resume, worthless "nice-to-have" skills, and a 1-year non-compete that will mean you have to start over at square one.

Could care more about employees
Software Engineer • Former Employee
Madison, Wisconsin, United States
February 27, 2022
Pros: Ok pay in low-cost living cities.
Food is good with low cost.
Cons: As a healthier company, Epic doesn’t care about employees’ well-being that much. No WFH since July 2021, and the WFH policy is very limited.
