Pros

At Epic, you have plenty of opportunities to make a name for yourself and be heard. You're responsible for your own success. For the people that work hard, Epic can try to be accommodating to your needs to make sure you stay happy.

Cons

Work-life balance is hard to manage if you're a consultant. Plan to spend lots of hours on the road and finishing up work at a hotel.

Advice to Management

Stop burning out your overachievers. Spend less money on castles and fancy buildings. They are great to have, but just having an office is more than most other companies give employees—and you already do that.

More spot bonuses or some way to show appreciation. In four years, I got only one spot bonus. That was for working 1.5 months at 80+ hour weeks. I had to ask for it.

Face the facts: Epic pays decently, but not what consultants are making for more money and less stress.
