Pros

Reliable, intelligent coworkers.

Great compensation.

Travel perks, which got a lot less perky when COVID shut down travel.

Cons

Last-minute mandatory travel can be thrown on your calendar at any moment. It's expected that that's reasonable, because when you're in implementation, all your time and energy goes into managing your customers' escalations. It's very difficult to manage a life outside of doing a good job in this role.

Advice to Management

So glad I left before the roles were restructured. Don't fix what isn't broken.

Employees didn't need a new job description – they needed help. Every project is understaffed. It should not be normal for employees to be so stressed that they cry in their offices.

For being a 'feedback-driven organization', leadership is exceedingly bad at listening to employee feedback.
