Pros

Good benefits, a beautiful campus, and great food. You get to work on software that has a tangible impact on the health of people all over the world.

Cons

Epic's response to COVID as it related to their employees has been downright dangerous. Upper management has very little connection to development teams and therefore has no idea what a realistic timeline for development is. I was asked to have net new functionality deliverable to customers in a matter of days after the project was started.

Team leads also are able to do very little to advocate for their team members. The CEO often dictates whatever she feels is best, and everyone just has to deal with the consequences.
