A good way to learn about software at a really good company. It's a very safe and comfortable job for someone who isn't sure what they want to do or wants their main focus to be on something non-work-related, like music or an extracurricular. QA generally works less than other roles, but with that comes lower compensation. The campus is incredible, especially the coffee carts and lunch. Health insurance is top-notch.
You have to be very technically-minded to enjoy the everyday work, which is then frustrating because we're not paid as well as the technical positions. A very flat structure is good in that it gives you lots of opportunities, but bad in that your title will not reflect it. It sometimes seems like there is no real incentive to go above and beyond since your compensation will hardly reflect the extra effort.
Make it easier to change roles. It seems encouraged until you start the process, then they make it really difficult and take a long time.
Many of the workers here haven't found what they're passionate about yet, so make it easier for them to transfer roles once or twice until they find it, or they will end up leaving.
