Despite criticisms of “drinking the Kool-Aid,” I loved the company culture and mission. Morale was high.
My project is going into production, and I’m convinced it will make a difference (this differs from project to project though).
They do a good job of giving interns a self-contained project with the right amount of work.
I had a great team leader and a fantastic mentor (this differs from team to team though).
Hours were great for interns.
Epic puts you in nice downtown housing with all the other interns. Lots of genuinely fun official and unofficial social events for the interns.
Madison is great in the summer.
I would give 4.5 stars if that were an option.
My project was dull. Lots of 3rd party API work, which resulted in minimal real coding.
Commute was long. I lost over an hour and a half on the average day.
