Pros

Nice campus, good food, smart coworkers.

Cons

Epic hires young people straight out of college, typically out of state so that they will focus their energy and free time working on Epic priorities, rather than spending time with their families (they won't have any around, out of town, unmarried).

It has often been apparent to me that Epic prioritizes many other components of its business—customers, campus beauty, finances (lying about stock options), etc.—often at the expense of employees, but the most recent pandemic has shown they will go as far to risk your health for the bottom line. If you work here, Epic will not value you for anything more than your output.

By the way, if you're asked to become a manager, you don't actually get paid more, so keep that in mind.

Advice to Management

Stand up to our CEO, treat people fairly, and compensate competitively.
