Pros
  • Good competitive pay compared to other similar companies.
  • Good campus and office space.
  • Recognition for good work. If you show keen interest in the work and leadership skills, you will be promoted pretty soon.
Cons
  • Horrible work-life balance (Expect to work more than 70 hours a week).
  • You will be spending most of your time in the office (7 days a week and more than 10-12 hours a day).
  • You feel exhausted after a while, and the pressure to work on new projects always keeps piling on.
  • They promise that developers would be working on C# and .NET, and that is a lie.
  • 95% of the developers end up working on VB and CACHE (a database that nobody really cares about) for the rest of their life at Epic, so there is no professional growth.
  • Higher management treats you like a piece of furniture and expects you to work round the clock (even on weekends and holidays).
  • Higher management fires employees like crazy for no big reasons.
  • New grads, beware: This is a career killer.
  • Very high attrition; you will be seeing people leave every now and then.
Advice to Management

Treat developers with respect regarding their work-life balance. There needs to be a work-life balance, or you will lose quality people to other companies.
