Great compensation. Interns are immediately immersed into their projects, treated like full-time employees, and each assigned a mentor and a team lead. The program is very well organized. Epic sponsors a lot of intern events (trip to the Dells, paintball, hiking at Devil's Lake) that are very cool.
Socially, it was really great, as most of the interns were housed in the same apartment building (which is in Madison, not Verona). Everyone is really young (not just the interns).
Interns usually work with C#, JS, and so on instead of messing around with Cache or VB, which is definitely nice.
Summer weather in Madison is gorgeous! HR is extremely helpful, which is good because as an intern, it seems you have more contact with them.
A consistent stream of feedback from supervisors was also a huge perk, and in general, the work does actually matter, so if you mess up, someone else will still have to pick up your project.
It really depends on the team/project you get assigned to. Some projects are very interesting, others are not. There's a lot of forced emphasis on appreciating the company culture.
This is a great internship program! I was happy with my experience and valued it a lot. Interns feel significant, and it is a fun, challenging, helpful internship.
I applied at the Career Fair at my college and was shortlisted for an interview. Initially, I had an HR round where behavioral questions and one design question were asked. After that, I was asked to take an online test. I qualified in that, followin
I applied right before the school year ended. Phone interview with an engineer (resume check). On-site included presenting a past project, technical problems (5 problems to solve on paper), and a behavioral interview with HR (also included a 1-minu
First, I had a phone interview and then they invited me to an on-site interview, preceded by a personality test. On the day of the on-site interview, it was pretty much all the things other people have explained. The on-site day went like this: *
