Process
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days.
- Initial tech screen with a staff
- Pretty standard tech round - system design + practical coding + 30min BQ - interviewers ask really practical questions, not LeetCode style, good fit if you have a lot of experience - focus on problem solving instead of "giving the right answer"
Questions
- They care a lot about what you put on your resume; make sure you prepare well regarding your experience.

Pros: Good culture and work environment.
Cons: None at the current moment.

Rocketship start-up with fantastic engineering culture
Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee
August 8, 2024
Pros: The term "hyper growth" is overused, but in this case it is absolutely true and backed up by hard numbers. With that comes a ton of interesting problems to solve, and leaders actively give people opportunities to work on problems that they want. I feel comfortable to take risks and challenge myself here.
Cons: Start-up problems come with fuzzy boundaries, and if the problems were easy, someone else would've solved them already. Colleagues are super friendly and helpful, but don't expect hand-holding every step of the way. Sometimes you gotta go the extra mile to help the team win.

Fast-paced environment with interesting LLM work, but lacks focus
Software Engineer • Former Employee

Pros: Moves fast and has an opportunity to do interesting work with LLMs.
Cons: Constant shifting of priorities makes it difficult to get focus in building good products while trying to compete with competitors.
