The interview process began with an initial phone chat with the internal recruiter, followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager. Finally, there was a two-hour in-person interview, which included a technical test and meetings with approximately six people. I felt the interview went positively in some ways but not so much in others. While hopeful of a job offer, I was not overly optimistic, thinking the odds were maybe 60/40 against me.
What annoyed me was the complete lack of feedback from the internal recruiter. I chased them twice by email asking for interview feedback. As it had been more than a couple of weeks and I still had no response, it was fair to assume no job offer. However, how hard is it for an internal recruiter to send a response?
This is the sort of thing that gives recruitment agents a bad name, but in this case, it was an internal recruiter, so there are no excuses. Perhaps Expedia is not such a great place to work if this is their staff's attitude.
