I was called for an onsite interview. It had two rounds.
I answered all the questions in Round 1. They ranged from simple application design, basic data structures and algorithms, to CSS and HTML.
Round 2 was: "Show me your CSS3 skills and make the webpage fancy."
Round 3 was a Skype round consisting of Java and JavaScript questions.
The HR confirmed that I was selected and would receive an offer letter in one week. They explained that as a large company, the process takes time and asked me to submit the required documents.
I submitted the documents. However, one day before my tentative joining date, they informed me that I did not have the required documents and they could not proceed further.
In fact, the actual problem was that they likely had multiple candidates as backups with different joining dates. As soon as their required number of people joined, they declined offers to all candidates with later joining dates.
They likely did this with multiple people. This is fraudulent and unexpected behavior from a company with a market reputation. So, be cautious. An offer from Expedia means "nothing," because they can decline the offer at the last moment.
