Pros

The benefits package is really good. My co-workers are wonderful, and I'm lucky enough to have an excellent manager. They are flexible about WFH and commute options.

Cons

They don't walk their corporate values talk and haven't for a long time. Comp is way below market rate. Bonus is contingent on number success variables, so we'd gotten our full bonus one time in five years. Bloated levels of upper/senior management with high salaries and no productivity. These folks weren't laid off when high-performing ICs were cut instead. Calls for management to explain themselves in terms of protecting their own were totally disregarded, which has only sapped post-layoff morale even more.

Advice to Management

You could have saved the jobs of the people you laid off by not keeping more of the management layers that got us into this mess. Instead, you kept their salaries and abandoned your ICs to this current job market. The callousness is not a good look.
