Great life balance because many people only work 3 hours a day and they get paid nicely, so they just get by. Good restaurants are around the office. $300~$600 travel money annually.
Why is Priceline doing much better than Expedia? This is why.
Too much politics. Too much stabbing at each other. If you don't have an ally, it's hard to work there even if you are a rock star. They don't value results too much. Feedback from your peer is over-valued. The pay is the lowest among all the big companies in this area compared to Google, Microsoft, etc.
VPs and CEOs - Spend some time talking to your managers and ICs. Hear them out! Not just Sr. Directors and Directors. That's the best way to get to know which directors are morons.
