Good benefits. Sometimes interesting tasks. Everything depends on the manager you have.
Work/life balance is horrible.
Depending on the team you're assigned to, you may or may not have time for a personal life.
Also, if your manager is bad enough, you will be loaded with manual testing, documentation, and babysitting outsourced teams instead of writing automation scripts, building/improving/extending test frameworks, etc.
I got into the team under a not-great manager, so after working there for 2 years, my skills dropped hard, especially coding. I had to do coding in my free time at home to not forget it entirely, lol.
SDETs in other teams were fine with interesting coding-related work.
Get things real. If you need more resources, just hire more people instead of trying to force people to work 24/7.
Contacted by recruiter via email. Followed by a non-technical phone interview. Technical phone interview. In-person technical interview. The process took two weeks, which was very slow. The recruiter was not following up quickly. The interviewer
Phone screen. Was asked to write code for a couple of questions on a shared screen. The total time of the interview was about an hour. I was asked to describe my algorithm and why I chose the approach I did for the coding.
I received a call from a consultant for an Expedia hiring event in November. After shortlisting my resume, I had a direct, face-to-face interview with Expedia. It was a whole-day process with multiple technical, face-to-face interviews. Expedia spec
