Pros

Flexible hours. Line managers are good.

Cons

Extremely poor high-level management (VP+), which forced through many unpopular decisions. These included forcing 50% in-office time through condescending emails and firing PMs for ridiculous reasons. They constantly used buzzwords and pushed to implement meaningless technology while taking home insanely high pay packets.

All of this leads to low motivation. I have seen many SDEs expressing their upset with how things have been changing over the past few months from all regions.

Advice to Management

Communicate with lower-level management more and give us the real reasons for decisions, rather than treating us like we’re stupid.
