Travel is an interesting industry to work in, with diverse opportunities as well as service goals. Expedia has a noble goal to make sure their customers have the best experience ever.
Individuals with the potential to blossom but lacking prior experience are currently not valued within the company. The company is at a stage where it is seeking only candidates with at least a moderate amount of industry experience, especially within the quality organization. At this point in time, this company is not a place where college graduates should carelessly dabble. The process to innovate will not succeed without leveraging engineers who are fearless in trying out new ideas and with a "work till I drop" attitude, predominantly found in newly minted engineers out of school.
