Directors and managers are number pushers with no responsibility or ownership for mid- and junior-level employees.

There's no structure for appraisal, promotion, or feedback. It all depends on how the director feels about you, regardless of your work or contribution.

Micromanagement, red tape, and a lack of quality and product decisions put developers in a tough spot.

No good developers stay for more than two to three years.

Advice to Management

Fire directors who are there for numbers crunching and promote some tech/engineers people to product decision-making.
