I applied online and was reached by HR. The whole process took 3 weeks, and I was rejected after the virtual onsite.
TL;DR: This was a very biased interview.
As the title says, I'm interviewing for a frontend role, but the whole interview had zero frontend-related questions. The system design round was entirely focused on checking my backend/service scaling knowledge (seriously???). I believe this is how I was rejected, even though I told them I'm not an expert on backend.
Technical screen: One non-LC style code exercise.
Virtual onsite:
The interviewers were nice, young Waterloo U graduates, except for the one who conducted the system design round.
Non-LC style questions. String manipulation. Design a BE micro-service and scaling.
