The compensation is pretty good, and the quality of the tech stack is really good. If you are in the right team, you can actually enjoy your work.
Worst possible management.
US managers are just puppets of the senior management and have no clue of how to be a manager. Indian teams get assigned with bread crumbs of the real work. There are unrealistic and vague expectations without any support from the team. Managers literally don't care about their Indian counterparts. There is no respect for the time zone difference either. Work can go up to 4 am IST, and still you might hear that you are not doing enough.
Please hire better, well-educated managers and HR.
I was quite excited and motivated to talk to HR and hiring managers in the US to interview with the startup Dev Center in Hitech. The meeting with the India team was not as good as expected. HR's response was standard. I had other offers in hand, so
Off-Campus opportunity. I was approached by an interviewer. Had just one technical interview, as the joining date was close and I had already given an OA in college during the on-campus drive. After that, I had a one-hour discussion with HR on CTC
Round 1: Online test consists of 15 MCQs of GATE level and 3 coding questions of easy, medium, and hard levels. Round 2: Technical interview - 3 coding questions of medium difficulty and questions on my projects, internship, and CS core subjects. R
