Associate Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

One 45-minute interview:

Starts with some behavioral, resume, and portfolio questions (really just depends on whatever the interviewer wants to ask after looking at your application).

The bulk of the interview was pair-programming in whatever language you feel comfortable in (1-2 Easy/Medium LeetCode problems, depending on how fast you go).

Received a call from the hiring manager telling me I moved forward and giving feedback and advice for next rounds.

Two more technical interviews:

Also pair-programming. One was LeetCode-esque, and the other was something written out by some employees to reflect more real-world financial applications (though honestly, it felt like coding simple math - don't overthink it).

Loved all the interviewers I had. They were really intentional about making it feel like actual, friendly pair-programming. Very fun and genuine team. :)

Only negative part of the experience was lack of communication, despite follow-up emails, for over a month after my last interview.
