Friendly people, plenty to work on, decent pay, great childcare and paternity benefits, high 401k match.
I never felt comfortable asking questions; I always felt on my own with code I didn’t understand or know what it was for.
Management made a lot of changes that show distrust in their employees (more time in office and more strict time tracking) or were cost-cutting measures (changing a $300 annual health credit into an overpriced gym membership everyone hated).
There's not much opportunity for advancement. The company is in cost-cutting mode and limiting lateral moves or promotions. It seems like they’d rather spread those jobs around to other team members or hire cheap 8-10 month contracts to avoid raises or paying out more in benefits.
Asked about the four pillars of Object Oriented Programming, previous coding projects, describing full stack development and Application Programming Interfaces, asked to write SQL code and Angular code, and one LeetCode easy-level question.
The interviewer was very relaxed and comforting. She asked me if I was comfortable not having any issues till Day. I replied politely and energetically that I was excited for the interview.
Good! Nice people and a smooth interview. A couple of technical questions and concepts, and a lot about teamwork and projects in school. I did hear back in a couple of weeks with an answer.
