Pros

Above-average salaries Unbeatable benefits Access to educational professional development resources Intelligent and dedicated coworkers

Cons

Lots of legacy technology and processes in use. Slow decision-making processes. Lots of internal politics and tension between different business units. Mass hiring and firing subject to the whims of the financial markets.

Advice to Management

Be aware of the long-standing relationships and alliances between those in VP positions and above within particular business units. Deference to and acceptance of the outsized weight of those individuals' opinions is required if you wish to succeed and be promoted.
