Pros

28 Days PTO after 5+ years.

Relatively stable employment, seems lower layoff risk than other companies in the industry.

Internal mobility is good (except in NC, where there is currently a hiring freeze in all but name).

Cons

50% RTO, relatively low base pay, nearly impossible to get promoted. Benefits are being methodically removed (computer reimbursement, fitness reimbursement). Flexibility is being limited (must attend all 5 days in office; noncompliance may result in reduced bonus eligibility and/or termination).

Culture has become much more corporate in recent years. Continuous addition of bureaucratic processes (time tracking and excessive number of governance boards).

Tech decisions are made with no basis in reality, and there is the expectation of delivering business value while constantly undercutting the developers' opinions and changing the fundamental expectations of the job.

Advice to Management

You will not attract talent and you will lose high performers if you keep going in the direction you are going. I expected to be a Fidelity lifer but will likely be moving on.
