In the Ireland Cloud team, there seems to be a stronger emphasis on adhering to engineering best practices than on delivering customer value. Those who advocate for best practices are frequently recognized and promoted, while individuals who focus on delivery and meeting customer needs often feel overlooked.
There were two 1-hour rounds of interviews after the introductory HR call. The interviews were mostly based on projects listed on the resume and team fit. The questions were AWS and K8s related.
1. Round one-on-one interview. 2. Panel interview with 4 team members, including the Director. 3. VP-level interview. 4. Drug test. 5. Background check. The whole process took around 3 weeks or so.
One-hour technical interview with a DevOps focus (no LeetCode) with members of the team the role would have been in. One-hour final round with hiring managers and another more senior individual.
