If you are lucky enough to find a good team with a good project, the below pros apply:
Your WLB and other factors like promotions are in the hands of your manager.
I no longer see a WLB culture in Fidelity; it's mandatory two weeks in office. No remote work allowed from international locations makes it difficult for international employees to plan vacations.
There are no additional sick leaves; all you have is your 23 PTOs.
There were two 1-hour rounds of interviews after the introductory HR call. The interviews were mostly based on projects listed on the resume and team fit. The questions were AWS and K8s related.
1. Round one-on-one interview. 2. Panel interview with 4 team members, including the Director. 3. VP-level interview. 4. Drug test. 5. Background check. The whole process took around 3 weeks or so.
One-hour technical interview with a DevOps focus (no LeetCode) with members of the team the role would have been in. One-hour final round with hiring managers and another more senior individual.
