Pros

They are constantly trying to find ways to promote associates to areas/positions where they'll thrive.

Responsibility is shared with those who want it, and you're compensated for it in title and pay.

Migration to cloud has been an exciting journey.

The technology management team really understands the business and technological requirements, so translating product ideas into actionable work is solid.

Cons

We're in the middle of some difficult tech stack migrations. DevOps managed pipelines don't have great documentation, and it's been a lot of trial and error.

Outside of DevOps, the tech stack is old. We're just now upgrading from Java 8 to 11 to 17, and other language use is slim in my division.

Fidelity has decent pay for the region, but healthcare costs keep going up, and United Healthcare isn't a great company to have in the first place.
