Pros
  • Very nice facilities
  • Cheap food
  • Ability to work semi-remote
  • Some really smart people
Cons

Politically driven, high-pressure culture. People are rewarded for being cozy with management instead of delivering work. A lot of roles are filled with mediocre people in order to check a box and feel good. Clueless, jaded employees can get away with being on their iPhone all day and still get paid. Super paranoid about data loss. You have no control over your work hardware.

Advice to Management

You'll never be a true tech company unless you have the right values. Right now, nepotism and bureaucracy abound, so it will take a big shift on your part. Unless you do that, you'll probably be overtaken by a more forward-thinking, merit-based, creative venture in the financial tech realm.
