I've always loved tools and collaborating with designers, so Figma is kind of a product match made in heaven.
For such a young product, it’s remarkably mature. The codebase is excellent, the release process is totally sane, and fires are almost nonexistent. People work hard but on a normal (and family-friendly) schedule.
The engineering team is diverse in gender (currently 30% female), race, age, and experience. Projects are always impactful, and engineers work collaboratively on the product; it’s not a place where you simply implement a feature blindly.
It’s a startup, so priorities can shift. It’s exciting when you are on board with them and are okay with change, but it can be hard if you are uncomfortable with instability.
Founders are young, but I've been impressed with their mature approach and resourcefulness.
Continue to empower the team to do great work, and continue improving visibility of the vision behind product/business decisions.
The interview process starts with a recruiter call, followed by a technical assessment over Zoom, a hiring manager interview, and finally an onsite visit. It was a fairly straightforward process, and everyone was friendly. I recommend studying a bit
I had a virtual onsite interview with multiple rounds. I was asked to leave the meeting immediately because they made a mistake and invited me by accident; the interview was for another person. This was a very bad experience, as I spent quite a lot
HR initial call. Technical phone interview: * 1 (coding, LeetCode medium, with follow-up). Then virtual onsite: * Coding * 2 (equivalent to LeetCode array tag) * System design * 1 * Behavioral questions * 1 * Deep dive * 1
