I was referred by a colleague/friend to an opening where my skills and experience seemed like a perfect match.

No one actually reached out to me, but I received an email from HR replying "no."

I asked my friend what happened. He said HR didn't even go through my CV and didn't forward it to the hiring manager.

He talked to HR, and she then called me. She acted very demeaning and unprofessional, asking novice questions that highlighted her lack of interpersonal skills and experience. She was very confrontational and aggressive, and didn't even read my resume – we went through each line on the phone.

Another week passed, and I received yet another automatic reply saying "no."

I asked my friend again, out of curiosity, what happened. He said, again, that the hiring manager didn't get my CV. He mentioned that this specific HR person is trying to get a regular status at the company, the "real" HR is on maternity leave, and the new one is trying to recruit employees from Fiverr competitor companies.

I wouldn’t want to work where such toxicity exists.
