First step included an exam in HackerRank. It included three questions. One was a coding question, and was pretty straightforward. The other two questions were poorly written, and I was unsure about the expected level of answers.
Second interview was on their (lovely) campus. The interview included a basic introduction, and then two questions. One was a classic data structure question. The other was a riddle. Then we moved forward to discuss a project from my previous work.
I feel like this kind of interview is not productive and does not supply the needed intro to the company. Not to mention that unlike coding / data structure questions, riddles may not be the best way to assess the candidate, as it is mostly a pass/fail, and there is no good way to understand from the middle ground.
The interview took about one hour longer than scheduled.
A riddle.
