I went through the standard "apply through LinkedIn" route and had a phone call with the recruiter. Ten minutes after a seemingly good interview (I solved the problem and believe I did a good job), I received a rejection letter. I emailed the recruiter to ask what happened, but they did not provide any feedback.
It is very disappointing and unprofessional when you take time out of your day, do a good job in the interview, and then get a rejection through a "no-reply" email ten minutes later. Maybe the interviewer didn't like my face! Very sad.
I guess I'm going with the "I dodged a bullet" sentiment.
