Pros: Significant and challenging job responsibilities right out of school. Great support from coworkers. Really good people to work for and with. Generally good work-life balance with a few exceptions.

Cons: Opportunities for advancement into management have been limited. Past uncertainty in the auto industry.

Pros: - One of the top-ranked ethical companies. - The vehicle engineering department cares about employee satisfaction. - Good products with some focus on HEV and BEV. - An amazing history with Henry Ford makes you proud of working for the company.

Cons: Does not take as much risk to focus resources on emerging trends such as electric vehicles. In other words, a little too complacent in getting the cash from gas cars and big trucks. There is some amount of disconnect between what managers want the products to be and what customers care about.

Pros: Iconic company. Complex and cutting-edge programs and technologies. Great, smart coworkers, but poor low-level management. The only benefit of having some bad bosses was that I had (most of the time) autonomy, which I fully utilized. As a result, I built a high-performing team, scaled up an underdog business tenfold, created processes, and positively impacted the team's morale. The company offers good benefits overall. In addition to the typical ones (401K, health insurance, paid vacation days, and holidays), benefits include the option to purchase up to two weeks of vacation and access to Lyra Health for mental health and wellbeing coaching. There are also good opportunities for mentoring through mentoring circles and personal development, especially through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

Cons: Leadership issues: Over six years, I had six different supervisors, with half of them being the worst managers I've ever encountered. Poor management led to low morale and a toxic work culture. Despite conducting an annual employee survey, no meaningful steps had been taken to address concerns about culture and management issues. There are numerous silos, causing confusion about responsibilities, a lack of transparency, collaboration, and inefficiency. Additionally, there is a lack of upward mobility and no room for growth within my department.
