Cars are fascinating, complex devices, and this complexity means that there is always something new and different to keep you going. Currently, there is a lot of work to do, so the upside potential is very large.
Management's fascination with business models and the seeming lack of understanding on their part that they aren't playing a game in business school. They are hurting people and the economy with their incompetence.
I would remind them that they are running an engineering company whose business is building cars, not playing business "what-ifs". They have zero respect for the actual business of designing and assembling cars because they are not themselves "car people". It's no surprise they can't make money doing something they know nothing about.
