Ford is a large company with a huge number of challenges relating to the actual manufacturing of each component of the vehicles they sell. There is a lot of variety available for a person to choose to suit their own needs or skills.
It is difficult to move ahead if one is not in a special "fast track" program, or if one is particularly good at a job and a replacement is difficult to find.
Keep your ego in check, or don't bring it. Understand that GSR employees, i.e., non-management, do not have the lifestyle or opportunities that managers have, so consider the effect of your decisions on other people. Treat your suppliers as team members and not as disdained servants.
