Pros

Really great overall internship experience. I was given a good amount of freedom and responsibility from the start. Projects were meaningful and I was respected by all of my fellow peers and employees. I was afforded the opportunity to spend time in the lab as well as out on the manufacturing floor, and I thoroughly enjoyed not being stuck in a cubicle all day because I like to get my hands dirty.

Cons

Tough to find many cons, other than possibly the location. I'm not originally from the Detroit area, and so it took me a little bit of time to adjust to the new setting.

Advice to Management

I found my manager to be extremely personable and easy to get a hold of if I needed something from him, but I know some other interns who found this was not the case. In a company this big, it is really important to maintain effective communication throughout.
