Definitely a place looking to shake things up in the car industry. Every workday was truly fun and exciting. Working with some very intelligent individuals creating the future is always fun.
There are a few hoops bureaucracies that you have to walk through or around. I see most people being hired as contractors, which is why their turnover is so high. I just feel if you don't invest more into your people and keeping them, then of course they're going to leave to go somewhere where they are valued exceptionally.
Do everything you can to remove the old bureaucratic mindset that is slowly bogging down the tech sector. It's pretty obvious that Ford is not a tech company. Even though they've made leaps and bounds in making it a more progressive company, there's still work to be done.
The interview process at Ford involved three rounds, starting with an initial HR call where I was asked about my background and resume. Within a week, I moved to the first technical round with an engineer from Ford. It was a very interactive session
Very easy and straightforward. Recruiters were very helpful. Amazing atmosphere. I applied through LinkedIn and heard back two months later for the first round interview. From there, I took the technical interview and was offered a job shortly after
Full Stack is Angular + Spring Boot, usually. I was asked technical questions about how Angular components communicate, how Spring Boot APIs handle requests, and how to handle Git pull conflicts, etc.
