Things move slowly, so it's a pretty relaxed work-life balance. An entry-level software engineering position can be lax.
The horizon of what's to come for the company is vague. There are so many different teams working on so many different technologies, but there doesn't seem to be any meaningful synthesis towards a solid goal.
