Applied for QA position.
There were two phone screen interviews where we discussed my skills, the company's requirements, and our goals.
After the phone screen interview, I was called for an on-site interview with four people.
I took a 45-minute technical quiz. Most questions were about Linux, protocols, RAIDs, networking, and packet analysis.
Then, I proceeded with a question-and-answer interview with four guys.
Nobody asked about my experience, nobody introduced themselves, and not a word was said about the company and the position.
During the interview, I understood that there was not a single question related to QA and testing, and at the end of the 1.5-hour session, I realized that these guys were interviewing me for a SysAdmin position.
Seriously?
They seemed uncomfortable since all these guys were system administrators and had no idea that I came for a QA position interview.
I e-mailed the coordinator of my interview (HR) and explained the situation, but did not get any reply.
Huge disappointment!
