Process

The interview process at GEICO comprised five rounds. The initial round focused on technical questions, which were generally straightforward and easily answered.

The second round involved a coding exercise. While I had prepared for a scripting exercise related to Loadrunner and Jmeter, as mentioned in the meeting invite, the interviewer presented a problem that required array manipulation. Although this was still manageable, I was asked if I had any IDEs installed on my machine, which I did not do due to a miscommunication regarding the exercise requirements.

Following this, the hiring manager abruptly ended the interview, indicating that it would be rescheduled. However, later that evening, I received an email from GEICO stating that they had been unable to reach me and were closing my file. I did not receive any prior communication regarding the rescheduling of the interview or the decision to close my file.

Overall, the interview experience at GEICO lacked professionalism and clarity. Given this experience, I would recommend exploring other employment opportunities.
