Pros
  • Great pay.
  • Remote work is great.
  • Almost always guaranteed a return offer (unless your project was bad).
  • Very chill environment; get your work done easily and clock out.
  • WLB is amazing.
  • Tech Connect Week was great! Geico really does invest in their interns.
Cons
  • Not sure on longevity; I might not be able to stay here long, especially after witnessing layoffs.
  • My advice? If you accept the return offer, try and look for another job after you complete the Tech Dev program (after 2 years of working with Geico).
  • Not too much diversity, but I will say they are putting in some effort.
Advice to Management

Maybe don't do mass layoffs when your interns are in-house? It's a terrible look.

Also, because of the staff changes, my return offer was almost in jeopardy.

Hesitantly, I accepted the return offer.
