Bunch of meetings and a hiring freeze
Geico has a good set of modern technologies, like .NET 6.0 and Angular 14, and allows remote work.
Half of the day is spent in useless meetings, with long work hours (10-12 hours/day). There are strange performance requirements, like an unspecified amount of pull requests per month. After a recent hire/conversion freeze, they kicked me out the next day, without two weeks' notice, which is unethical. The pay is average.
Decrease the amount of meetings. Be patient during the onboarding process. Be ethical.
