The products are concrete, and basics of engineering are necessary every day. The technology is relatively simple, and lots of opportunities exist to apply advanced engineering and make improvements.

Cons: The size of the company makes communication between departments slow and lackluster. Years of corporate culture changes and thick layers of management have created an abundance of process and bureaucracy. This can cause a steeper than necessary learning curve and slow down learning and progress.

Pros: Work with very capable and intelligent people. The size of the company allows it to do things that other companies cannot afford to try.

Cons: Engineering sites are not in popular cities. Management sets up nearly impossible schedules and then cannot move out of the way.
