Someone I had worked with in the past contacted me to fill an open position in their organization. They knew what my work quality and levels were, so the interview process was more to let the rest of management know.

I was taken down to the main facility and directly interviewed with most of the senior staff. The interviews were rather informal and seemed to spend most of their time assessing a personality fit.

Then, a couple of days later, the head of the little division called directly to interview me. A couple of weeks later, they indicated that they would like to hire me.
