On-site interview with the HR Manager and the Department Manager for the department for which I was applying.
They used an on-site recruiter (not employed by GE). This person took me on a brief tour and described who I would be interviewing with.
The HR Manager was answering text messages during my responses in the interview. I stopped my responses until he looked up from his phone and we made eye contact again. The Department Manager who was also in the interview appeared to be embarrassed.
How would I resolve "conflict" within the department?
