The interview process was fine.
People were friendly and professional.
They asked questions related to my experience and expertise.
They decided after the in-person interview to change the position that they wanted to hire me for. They did explain this change clearly, and I was okay with that change.
I declined because the offer was not satisfactory. It required a lot of travel, and I did not think the pay was sufficient for that amount of travel. Healthcare was also more expensive than competitors.
I was not a fan of their unlimited vacation policy. You don't get compensated if you don't take vacation, and vacation is based on manager approval. While GE managers may be generous, the loose rules concerned me.
401k is not bad but not impressive. I also thought that paying back tuition over 4-5 years was too long and not a great benefit.
Explain my GE/Alstom products user experience.
Any suggestions for improvements with the current suite of products?
