Depends on the project; your work-life balance varies.
Not all at senior levels are good at coding, which sometimes gives opportunities to showcase your skills and can be irritating as well because you need to do everything, which hits your work-life balance.
Please make sure all senior folks are capable of coding and involve themselves with developers to understand their limitations and get the best work out of them instead of just blaming.
