Pros

Commissioning Engineers are like a family, always looking out for each other, bouncing ideas, and offering quick on-site, in-the-moment fixes to one another.

Cons

Sometimes the supporting office forgets that the travelling commissioning engineers need a lot of support and are the priority for making profits for the company. That culture must be adhered to, as when we engineers have issues and we falter, so does the office.

Advice to Management

Alstom is over now; it's GE. It's a rough environment supporting commissioning engineers and acquiring contracts.
