Pros

Good company for learning, competent seniors, formal environment, no shouting or screaming by seniors.

Cons

Worst compensation policy. Hikes when joining GE are based on your last pay slip, irrespective of your knowledge and relevant experience.

This may change your entire career at GE. People with lesser knowledge/skill sets will always be ahead of you on the salary curve because of their higher last pay slip.

As it is, GE's salary is not among the highest in the market.

Do bargain well before joining.

Working hours are quite high, mostly from 9 AM to 11 PM. Though official hours are 40 hours/week.

In some profiles, you might enjoy this.

Advice to Management

Compensation should be based on merit, not on stupid HR policies.
