Worst compensation policy. Hikes when joining GE are based on your last pay slip, irrespective of your knowledge and relevant experience.
This may change your entire career at GE. People with lesser knowledge/skill sets will always be ahead of you on the salary curve because of their higher last pay slip.
As it is, GE's salary is not among the highest in the market.
Do bargain well before joining.
Working hours are quite high, mostly from 9 AM to 11 PM. Though official hours are 40 hours/week.
